In the background, a large number of OSDU Forum Members are working towards the Mercury Release (R3) of the OSDU Data Platform on March 24, 2021. The closer we get to that date, the clearer it becomes that many things still have to completed and concluded. It also means that the time for longer discussions is over and we are moving towards more rapid decision making.
This week we had to land what will actually be launched on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 and this will be issued in the next couple of weeks. Looking at R3, we not only have to look at the actual code of the Data Platform, but also at the availability of the Operational Procedures and the various services around R3 such as Data Loading, External Data Services, etc. Now we have landed that, we can just focus on this and that is exactly what we intend to do.
